Wild Garlic is named after the beautiful green leafed variety of wild garlic that grows in abundance in the wooded valleys around Nailsworth.
Within only three months of opening in November 2007, the AA took the unprecedented step of awarding Wild Garlic Restaurant two AA rosettes for food and 4 Stars for our rooms at Heavens Above Bed and Breakfast.
Since then we have had a great review in the New York Times after the food critic ate here during his tour of the West Country.
We were delighted to be nominated by our customers as one of three finalists for 'Restaurant of the Year', in the Cotswold Life Food and Drink Awards 2009. To be considered as a finalist was a real honour and here is what the judging panel said about us:
"Quality, taste and care for customers were three elements that distinguished Wild Garlic for the judges. From the moment you ring to book a table to the time when you leave - eminently satisfied - there is unobtrusive but solicitous service of the highest order. The menu is full of local, the dishes imaginative, the prices reasonable and the amounts enough to leave you perfectly satisfied. The desserts were especially good. Our judges had an altogether lovely experience."
We look forward to welcoming you to Wild Garlic Restaurant and Heavens Above Bed and Breakfast.
